Description
You never know when or how you’ll stumble upon beauty. Growing up in this present culture, we have become used to fear, anger, profanity. But even in streets interrupted by yelling and tumult and bad news carried on the breeze, beauty can be found.
I notice color first: Light refracting into caramel liquid, neon blue striking clear glass, a glossy, succulent hot red cherry sitting sweetly in the swirl of dancing cocktail, holding court with shimmering ice cubes.
The world can be as cold as a brass doorknob. It can also show you its warm, glowing cherry side, if you slow down to look. Christmas is the perfect time for that.
This framed painting is 6 x 6”, acrylic on newspaper-covered panel.
