Description
‘Mosaic Turtle’ is painted over an assemblage of an old 1933 dentist’s journal and newspapers newspapers on a 16″ x 16″ x 1.75″ deep nested box. A few found objects dancing over the turtle’s patterns highlight the whimsical shell, which plays with the colors of water and light in nature.
The piece is framed in a 3″ wide cherry-colored plein air frame and wired for hanging, and the sides are finished with assemblage and bright glazes, like the front, in case no frame is preferred.
