Description
8 x 10 x .75 Acrylic and ephemera with embellishments on a birch panel nested with pine strips
The Mexican Red-Knee Tarantula is native to Mexico. The ephemera background of this painting is from the creation account in Genesis, in Spanish. These tarantulas, considered ‘new world’ tend to avoid a fight rather than bite, but they will, if they feel threatened. This spider is embellished with opalescent shimmer to bring out her contrasting black and white and crimson knees.
