Description
I’ve used Greenroom brand notebooks ever since I can remember. You can only get them at one store, as far as I know. Onilne, they’re double the price, so I buy them in the store any time I see them. They come in cheerful, colorful card stock colors, and there’s a version that’s larger (fatter; more pages) than the regular ones. Those are navy blue with a plain, tasteful cover and 200 off-white lightly-lined pages: my favorite! Only thing is, I couldn’t leave that plain navy cover alone.
Thicker than the regular Greenroom notebook covers, I learned the navy notebook took gesso (the white base paint we coat canvases with) well. So, I decided to do more than a regular painting on it: I did my collage art!
Each piece is unique. So far I have only three done, but I may grow my inventory. I use ephemera–or castoff pieces of paper, tickets, currency–on every one. They are scraps and pieces I will never get again. Some pieces I affix to the cover are from old sketchbook art and paintings I did in the past.
I think these pieces are charming, because they are like people: not one is the same, none are perfect, but each one is loved by its creator.
Specs: these Colorful Notes are 7×9 inches, spiral bound (gold colored), 200 lined pages. They take ink from Pilot g-2 pens well (I like the .05 and the .07). Each order is for ONE (1) notebook. Cover is slightly bowed due to painting, but it is still strong and lays flat enough.
