Description
This beautiful tarantula–the typhochlaena seladonia–or Brazilian Jewelled, only grows to 6cm and lives in trees in Brazil. They make holes in the trees and put a little door in front! His brilliant colors make him rare.
This 8×10 painting, framed with a 14 x 16″ plein air silver frame, is acrylic on a paper-covered panel. The spider himself is gloss-coated and contains little flecks of blue shimmer.
This species is illegal in the United States; all the more reason to own this lifelike painting of the most beautiful tarantula in the world (in my opinion).
