I drew this picture as an alternative to all of the male warriors I saw portraying this scripture. It’s an image I identify with, and, it turns out, so do a lot of women. I meditated on each piece of armor as I considered how to place them and how they would look. I wanted the piece to show strength, but not be masculine. She needed to have an obscured face so that people wouldn’t try to make an identification, instead of concentrating on the armor.
As with many pieces I do, I just started drawing, and this image came out. I hope it is an inspiration to many.
I love this piece. It empowers women in a righteous way. Would it be possible to get this print on a T shirt?
Hi, Loreen,
Yes, I will be moving to t-shirts soon, when I find the best vendor to do so. Thank you for your interest, and I’m glad you like the art!
Blessings,
Christine
