I can’t figure out whether it’s a blessing or a pain to have so many ideas in your head. A famous inspirational ‘coach’ once told me that’s a good problem to have. Maybe it’s this way with all artists, and even writers, but I believe I’ve found a way to corral the wild horses called ideas running around in my head doing not much more than kicking up dust. After all, it’s great to have new projects and grand plans, but, like paying off debt, if you only chip away at twenty of them and don’t finish any, can you accomplish anything?
So I am finishing up a Creative Planner. That’s a working title, but it is essentially a workbook which includes direction and fuel to push ideas forward and to monetize them (that’s what keeps us creating, isn’t it?). I will have downloadable forms for calendars, budget, marketing plans, sketch/idea pages, etc., and will have updates about the sale of the entire book afterward. I think this could help many artists who I’ve spoken to who are stalled in their direction, who are unsure of showing their work to people, or who are just discouraged. I’ve been there, and this (yes) project may turn out to inspire artists to succeed with inspiring others.
